Project Site The Chief Executive Officer of Let your light shine enterprise at Denu in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, Mr. Vincent Gbadegbe, on Friday September 19, 2025 cut sod for the construction of a new ward complex at the Denu Health Centre.  The project is aimed at providing a dedicated, comfortable space for people of Denu and the entire municipality at large requiring medical care. Mr. Gbadegbe explained that the idea for the facility emerged after a visit to the facility and realized that there is no accomodation to admit people for proper care and attention when the need arises. Project Site The ward complex will cater not only for the sick but also for the pregnant women who will come to deliver and need to stay for proper medical attention, recognising that many new mothers that needed to be kept for check ups are always discharged due to lack of accommodation. Celebration's Banner The 49th edition of the Somètutuza or Somè Festival, celebrated by the people of the Somè Traditional Area in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region is scheduled to take place from September 13 to 28, following a successful launch in Denu in July this year. The festival will be celebrated under the theme “Consolidating Peace and Unity for Socio- cultural and Economic Development in the Somè Traditional Area."  The festival will showcase a rich tapestry of Ghanaian culture and heritage, while honouring the sacrifices of ancestors who helped secure peace and unity in Somè. The Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu South Municipality  in the Volta Region Hon. The Duamenefa Foundation in collaboration with Treasures of His Eyes, a UK based Non-Profit Organization, led by the Country Director, Rev. Adefunke Adeoye has organized a free skills acquisition program for  Duamenefa Foundation members from the various Communities in and around Ativuta in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region. The primary objective of the training program is to empower members of the Duamenefa Foundation to tackle unemployment and to eradicate poverty among the populace of the country.  Members presented with certificate of participations.  The program is an annual event which seeks to empower its members with varied skill.
