Ewe Loyalty Foundation Launches 5th Anniversary.

Ewe Loyalty Foundation (ELF), a non-governmental organization (NGO) on Saturday October 25 launched its five years of existence under the theme "5 Years of Serving Humanity Together: Celebrating Loyalty and Our Next Steps" with a call on all Voltarians and other stakeholders to unite and pull resources together towards the development of the region.


The launch also marks the foundation's annual general meeting.


Speaking at the anniversary launch event in Sogakope, the founder and  President of the foundation, Mr. Julius Kukubor stressed the need for all well-meaning individuals and organizations to team up and pull together scarce resources towards the socio-economic advancement of the Volta region.


He said over the past five years, the foundation has made a significant impact in the lives of countless individuals, schools and communities.



“Our donations to the less privileged have empowered young minds with access to quality education, while our support for communities and our members have provided hope and rehabilitation opportunities for those seeking a second chance,” Mr. Kukubor noted.


"We just started as a Facebook group and by the grace of God we are a foundation today with the aim of impacting lives positively and taking our beloved region to the next level"



“ So Let us continue to impact lives, inspire hope, and make a lasting difference in our world,” he concluded.


The general secretary for the foundation, Mr Shine Setor pointed out to some of the achievements of the foundation.


 “As we reflect on our journey, I would like to highlight some of our achievements, challenges, and the way forward. We have supported victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage – 2023 at Mepe



"We have also donated to 'In My Father's House' at Abor and supported many of our members in marriages, naming ceremonies, graduations, school, illness and bereavements" , he added


Despite these achievements, the ELF faces some challenges such as financial constraints, inability to finance our projects and economic hardships, Mr Setor noted.


“However, we remain committed to our mission, he assured.



As we look to the future, we envision a world where every individual has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, to achieve this vision, we require the support, generosity and time of every Voltarians.


The South Tongu district Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo who was the guest speaker at the function praised ELF for their dedication to impacting lives and urged them to look forward to a mutually rewarding and fulfilling journey ahead.  


She observed that the foundation over the past five years, have embarked on numerous projects aimed at enhancing the well-being of those in need within the Volta region.



“From supporting flood victims to the supporting orphans, the physically challenge and the less privileged  evidentially, the Ewe Loyalty Foundation has been committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others,” she mentioned.


She called on the foundation and its leaders to ensure that structures, programs, policies, processes, and systems were put in place to sustain the foundation going forward.


"Over the past five years, Ewe Loyalty Foundation has demonstrated its unwavering commitment and countless acts of generosity and continue to remind us that true fulfillment lies not in personal gain but in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others" She stated.



She congratulates the foundation for easing the financial burdens of countless individuals and families by settling bills, supporting medical treatments and ensuring that those in need receive proper care without the weight of financial hardship.


Madam Dzeklo urged the leaders to be more committed, persevere and be transparent. She urge everyone to support the foundation to achieve their aims and objectives.


"As you move to the next phase of growth, I encourage the Ewe Loyalty Foundation to continue to strengthen partnership, expand outreach and embrace innovation in your foundation. There are still children in need of education, families awaiting support and communities that require rebuilding. I urge you to continue your good work by inspiring others to join hands in making a difference, she concluded.


Some of the members express their joy and gratitude to God and the leadership for how far they have come as a foundation and promised to always support the mission of the foundation.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.
