Patriots of Nogokpo Celebrate 5th Anniversary.

The Patriots of Nogokpo Association in the Ketu South Municipality has celebrated its fifth anniversary on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Nogokpo.


The Association serves as a medium of unity, friendship, and vision.


The Association was founded in 2020 by Mr. Bright Agbesi Bokorvi to create a community where members could support each other in times of need.


Speaking at the anniversary, Mr. Bokorvi recounted how the Association started as a WhatsApp group.

"Five years ago, this vision of bringing especially the youth together for a common purpose, which is supporting each other in times of need, began," he said.



"So, I created a WhatsApp group and added my friends. I sold my vision to them, and they all bought into the idea — and this is how far God has brought us," he stated.


The main objective is to support each other during occasions like marriages, graduations, naming ceremonies, bereavements, and in any other way our support may be needed, Mr. Bokorvi explained.


The secretary of the Association, Mr. George Nathaniel Kudaya, stated that the Association is not only for financial support but also a platform for shaping each other.


"Over the years, our Association has not only provided financial and moral support to members but has also become a platform for learning, sharing ideas, and promoting the spirit of togetherness," he said.


"Together, we have supported one another in times of joy and in times of difficulty. We have shown that friendship and compassion, when combined with commitment and unity, can make a real difference in people's lives," he continued.


He urged the members to reflect on how far they have come and the sacrifices that brought them to where they are today.



He also urged them to remain loyal and faithful to the Association as they have been from the beginning.


"As we look to the future, let us renew our commitment to the values that unite us — love, support, respect, and progress. Let us continue to find new ways to empower each other, grow our membership, and extend our impact beyond just our WhatsApp screens into our communities," he concluded.


He used the opportunity to appreciate both past and present executives of the Association for their dedication and great support given to the Association.


The Assembly Member for the Nogokpo–Ativuta Electoral Area, Hon. Jonas Fotor Agbagba, who was the guest speaker, urged the Association to remain focused on its mandate and stay true to its objectives.


He mentioned that for the Association to stand strong, there is a need for unity and focus.



"All you need now as an Association is unity. Without unity, you cannot achieve your goals. I remember about 10 years ago, an association like this was inaugurated here, but as we speak today, they are nowhere to be found," he stated.


"If Patriots can stand for the past five years in the midst of all the trials, then we now have hope and a great future," he mentioned.


He urged chiefs, opinion leaders, and all stakeholders to put aside their differences and support the Association to achieve its dreams.


Hon. Agbagba used the opportunity to appeal to all citizens of Nogokpo, both home and abroad, to support the town in any way they can. He also urged the youth to hold onto communal labour, emphasizing that cleanliness is next to godliness.

    A very thoughtful and well good initiative, well down and congratulations. Most importantly as the Hon. Assembly man mentioned we must be united and do well to maintain respect in all levels, so this beautiful ideas conceived will see the light of the day. 89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
