Pillars of Volta Foundation donates to Effective Life Academy.

Pillars of Volta Foundation, a Non governmental organization (NGO) in Aflao in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, has donated assorted items to Effective Life Academy on Monday December 22 at Logotome in the Akame Electoral Area.

The items include bags of rice, gallons of cooking oils, pastries, soft drinks, bags of sachet water, toiletries, Spaghetti, boxes of biscuits and many more 


Mr Emmanuel Korba also known Big Money, the deputy C.E.O of Pillars of Volta Foundation, said the Foundation’s said the donation was made to put smile on the faces of the less privileged and show them love during this Christmas season.


He also noted that it is an appreciation of God's love and contribution towards the welfare of the children.


"This should not been seen as just a donation but celebration of the Lord's amazing mercies and favour in our lives. I feel excited to the joy on the faces of these little ones who are our future leaders" he stated.


Mr. Korba urged the general public to support the less privileged and everyone they can during this festive season. He noted that doing this is an act of showing love to one another.



The chairman of the foundation, Mr. Quashie Amuzu also urged the general public to be supportive to needy and the less privileged.

According to him, doing this will make them feel cared for and belonging.


"Let's keep supporting these little ones, they are the future leaders. If you support these little ones today, they may also be of help to you or your family member tomorrow" he stated.



Mr. Francis Mawunyo Ladzekpo, who received the items on behalf of the school expressed appreciation to the group for the gesture and called for more support to make the children comfortable.


"We hope in the near future you will be able to join many organizations to extend a helping hand to these children and their counterparts in other places," he appealed.



Effective Life Academy is a private Basic School with an orphanage home located at Logotome near Kopeyia


The school has about 200 pupils and not less than 30 orphans.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
