Hon. Faustina declares intent to contest NDC constituency deputy women organizer position.

The current assembly member for Avoeme West electoral area in the Ketu South Constituency and a proud member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Faustina Elikplim Korwu has declared her intentions to contest as the party's deputy women organizer of the constituency.


Madam Faustina, has officially announced her intention to contest the position of constituency deputy women organizer when nominations open, citing the need for a strong, transparent and dedicated role of a woman to keep the party competitive.



In her declaration, she stressed that no political party can survive without a solid, vibrant and well organized women, warning that weak organization structures ultimately lead to decline.


“Without doubt, no political party or entity can survive and remain competitive without a role of well organized women. A political party without organized women with a truthful, dedicated and a vibrant servant-leader will wither and die,” she stated.

She underscored the importance of modern women management, arguing that the NDC must align its women organization  with love and care.


Madam Faustina said, adding that she will bring youthful energy anchored in trust, competence and transparency to the role.


“I will bring real pragmatic experience of our grassroots, the heartbeat and pulse of our party, as well as new, innovative and exciting ideas to put the party on a sound footing,” she said, pledging to help maintain the NDC in power while ensuring accountability, accessibility and integrity across all levels of the party.

'My goal is to make our branch women structure vibrant, mobilize support, empower women and drives the party agenda forward, She concluded.


Hon. Faustina Elikplim Korwu is well known in the Ketu South Municipality for her motherly love and care to children and the less privileged. 



Some of her achievements includes donating over 300 mathematical sets to BECE candidates in six basic schools in and around her electoral area in 2025 and also donated exercise books, pens, pencils, school bags to over 100 students in Avoeme basic school.



She also in 2025 support not less than 100 students with school uniforms at Avoeme Basic School. 



Hon. Faustina Elikplim Korwu appeals to the party folks to give her the opportunity by voting massively for her for a better future of the women and the party as a whole.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
