Ketu South NDC’s former Youth Organizer to contest as the party's Chairman.

The former Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ketu South constituency, Elolo White Kelie, has formally announced his intention to contest as the party's chairman of the constituency.


Mr. Kelie  reaffirms his commitment to leading the party in the constituency toward further consolidation and growth.


“I am fully prepared to contest when the polls open. My record in our party over the years can been seen and testified by everyone in the party" he stated.


"The active role I have played in the party from the time we were in opposition through to becoming the governing party, speaks for itself" he added.


Mr. Kelie, who is the current chairman of the party's youth working committee and former chairmanship aspirant of the party mentioned that, currently he is the only one that stands tall to lead the NDC party in the constituency.


"I have been in active politics in Ketu South for the past 26 years and a veteran grassroot man, so I have what it takes to lead the NDC's World Bank" he stated.


Considering my intentions to contest as the constituency's chairman again will not be a challenge, given the strong and positive relationship I share with our party members across the constituency" he said.


My vision is to not only maintain Ketu South as our party's 'World Bank' but also to secure for the party and the entire constituency what we deserve as a World Bank ”. He stated.


He emphasized that his leadership will bring unity among all party structures.


He stated that the party in the constituency requires experienced, firm, and visionary leadership to strengthen its grassroots base, mobilize support, and effectively position itself for future electoral success.


He assured party members of his commitment to continue collaborating with other constituency executives, branch leaders, and all stakeholders to enhance internal cohesion and discipline.


“Let us maintain our internal cohesion and discipline at every level of the party from the branch to the constituency" he said.


He also urged members to remain focused, united, and dedicated to the shared objective of building a stronger and more competitive party in the constituency.


This declaration highlights his confidence in the support of the party’s base and his determination to maintain the progress, stability, and strategic direction of the constituency party structure.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. His scale of operation includes maize 62.5 acres, Cassava 52 acres, Okro 10 acres, Cowpea 10 acres, Chilli Paper 5 acres, Coconut 5 acres, 20 Cattle, 30 goats, 10 sheeps, 10 Turkeys, 20 Guinea Fowls, 20 doves and 175 local poultry The over 60 years experience farmer receiving his award, thanked the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
