Torgbui Tenuvi toures some examination centres in Ketu South.

Torgbui Tenuvi II, a development Chief of Aflao, has toured some examination centres for the ongoing common mock examination he organized for all the final years students in both public and private Junior High Schools in the municipality.


Torgbui Tenuvi II, embarked on a surprise visit to some selected schools in all the three traditional areas in the municipality. 



He noted that the purpose of the tour is to assess the firsthand arrangements in place for the 4,400 candidates preparing for their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


The candidates today started the first of the three mock exams sponsored by Mr. Felix Akonta, Torgbui Tenuvi II.


"I sponsored these three mock exams to enhance the academic performance of our children and for them to be placed in the Senior High School of their choice especially outside the region.


Some of the schools Torgbui Tenuvi visited includes Klikor Unity Basic School, Klikor Central Basic School, Wisdom Children International School, Somè National School, Sokladzi R.C Basic School, Babanawokope Basic School, Forever Blessed Academy, Ativuta R. C Basic School, Akame R. C Basic School, Avoeme Basic School, Viepe R.C Basic School, Preventive Basic School, Aflao Border Basic School and St. Peter and Paul's Basic School.



Torgbui Tenuvi noted that he was pleased with the enthusiasm exhibited by the learners and the commitment of the invigilators. 


"During the tour I noted a few cases of absenteeism. At Preventive Basic School, 7 out 146 candidates were absent, at Avoeme Basic School, 3 candidates were absent out of the expected 181, 22 candidates were present at Babanawokope Basic School instead of 23" he stated.



Four candidates were also absent at Somè National School, 24 candidates were present and 2 out of 44 were also not available at Klikor Unity Basic School, he added


Torgbui Tenuvi directed the headteachers to contact the parents of the students who were absent to ascertain the reasons for their absence and make arrangements for them to write the remaining papers since the goal was to prepare every candidate for their final examination.



It was discovered at Klikor Unity Basic School that one of the candidates gave birth and was caring for the child at home which could not allow her write her examination. 

Torgbui Tenuvi directed a female teacher to assist the young nursing mother to enable her write the remaining papers.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
