Globeserve Missionary Church Ketu District marks Easter with spirit-filled service.

The Globeserve Missionary Church, Ketu District climaxed this year's Easter Convention held Beautiful Zion Preparatory School Logove-Agbozume in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region to commemorate resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday April 5, 2026, with a spirit-filled service.

The 4-day event was full of testimonies, prophecies, worship, prayers, praises and dance as scores of worshippers from six Local Assemblies and some members of Sege branch converged to celebrate their salvation.

It was held on the theme: “Celebrating The Faithfulness Of The Risen Lord and Advancing His Mission.”

Rev. Matthew Ahoto, the former general secretary of Globeserve ministries international, urged the congregation to anchor their faith in Christ and strive to overcome their challenges just like Christ defeated death to save mankind.

Citing Revelations 1:17b to 18 , Luke 24:5 - 7 and Matthew 28:5 - 7, 15 - 20, he entreated Christians to suppress their worldly desires and seek God first in all their endeavours.

“Let the resurrection power reflect in your personal lives, in your marriages, in your families, and at your workplaces,” he stated.

“No matter what you face in life, your first point of call must always be God. Never stop yearning for His presence and don’t stop seeking His Kingdom,” he stressed.

He also urged the congregation to be sure of their own resurrection stating that the members should not celebrate alone but also go on a mission to tell others about the great news that Jesus Christ ressurected.

Other preachers including the Ketu district overseer Rev. Emmanuel Agyeman also urged the members to hold on to Christ and announce His second coming to all the nations.

The service was interspersed with many testimonies from several members who shared their experiences and thanked God for saving them.

The gathering also involved in inter zonal fun games competition with members competing in various events which includes sack racing, thread and neddle competition, eating competition, ampe, lime and spoon racing, spar and many more. 

After the games, the host, Agbozume Zone were crownd the overall winners. All participants were awarded with a certificate of participation sponsored by the men ministry in the district.

Overseer Shaddrack Midodzi, the district administrator expressed his gratitude to the participants for making the event a successful one. He promised that it will be an annual event to discover the hidden talents in the youth.

He also thank the men ministry for the vital roles they played in the success of this year's convention.

Overseer Courage Edwin Amenuda, the Agbozume zonal overseer and the host of this year's convention expressed his gratitude to God and the leaders for allowing his zone to host such a mega program. He also extended his appreciation to Ghana Police service, Agbozume, the chiefs of Logove, the assembly member and his unit committee members, the opinion leaders and the owners of the school for allowing them to host the convention on their land.

Mr. David Mensah, the secretary to the divisional chief of the area, Torgbui Nyonyo in a speech read on behalf of Torgbui commended the leaders for bringing Christ to his land. He mentioned that they believed God is the owner of the land and they are just stewards.

"Many people have been saying that we the traditional leaders or chiefs are the owners of the land but I want you to know that heaven and earth and everything in it including all of us here belongs to God. We the chiefs are just caretakers or stewards of the land" he explained.

"I will also like to use this opportunity to appeal to the leaders to pray for my beloved community for me. We have tried all we can as leaders but I believe we can't be successful without God, so please remember us in your prayers especially for the youth" he stressed.
