Taskconer Assembly Member supports 628 BECE candidates with learning materials, and other incentives.

The Assembly Member for Taskconer Electoral Area in the Ketu South Municipality, Lord Dotsey Hammond Agbogedenu, has reaffirmed his commitment to education by engaging Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Klikor and Somè traditional areas in the Ketu South Municipality.


During the interaction, he encouraged the candidates to remain confident and put in their best effort, stressing that their future success depends on their current dedication and discipline as they sit for their examinations.




As part of his educational support programme, Mr. Agbogedenu distributed mathematics sets, pens and rulers to 628 BECE candidates in all public schools in the Klikor traditional area and some selected public schools in the Somè traditional area, aimed at ensuring that no student is disadvantaged during the examination period.


According to the assembly member, the main sponsor of the programme is Torgbui Kpormego II, the Dunenyo I, of the Klikor Traditional Council who is a medical doctor based in Jamaica



Mr. Agbogedenu stated that, Torgbui Dunenyo I, outlined a performance-based reward scheme to motivate excellence, including full scholarship for all top-performing students that can obtain from grade 6 and 15 in the coming Basic Education Certificate Examination which is scheduled to come off from May 4.


According to Mr Agbogedenu, Torgbui Dunenyo I, reiterated that education remains the most powerful tool for transformation, adding that sustained investment in young people is key to securing a brighter future for the country.



He urged the candidates to remain focused and disciplined, assuring them that success is achievable with hard work and determination.



The candidates express their gratitude and joy for the great initiative promising that they will put up the best to make Torgbui and the Assembly Member proud.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
