Torgbui Tenuvi II supports 2026 AKUFA tournament.

A developmental Chief of Aflao Traditional Council, Torgbui Tenuvi II also known as Felix Akonta Akakpo, has donated a football and a set of jerseys to support the ongoing Akame Unit Football tournament at Akame in the Ketu South municipality of the Volta Region.


Mr. Seth Aryee also known as Teacher Setho who donated the items on his behalf noted that the items are to support the tournament in its quest to unearth talents to give them a source of livelihood.


Receiving the items on behalf of the organizing committee, Mr. Napoleon Kporha noted that is seen as a timely contribution towards the success of the event. 



He also explained that their main aim of organizing this annual event is to bring the participants together and supporters in a spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and community development.


Mr. Kporha on behalf of the committee promised that the items will be used for the right purpose. 


He also used the opportunity to extend his profound gratitude to Torgbui Tenuvi II for his support.


"On behalf of the organizers of the AKUFA tournament, I will like to use this opportunity to extend our profound gratitude to Torgbui for his support. In fact this support came at the right time and I believe it will assist us to have a successful tournament" he said. 


He also used the opportunity to appeal to all well wishers, NGOs to support the tournament.



"I will like to use this opportunity to appeal to NGOs and anyone who can support us to come to our side because we have been organizing this tournament for years now but we do not have any sponsor. 


Mr. Thomas Madugu, the secretary of the committee commended the gesture, stating that the items will play a vital role in the success of the tournament.


He commended Torgbui Tenuvi II for the role he is playing in the entire municipality in promoting sports and other developmental projects.



Awudu Issaka's academy is the latest beneficiary and he expressed his appreciation to his gesture.


Akame Unit Football Association (AKUFA) is an annual Easter football competition for football clubs in the Akame Electoral Area.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. His scale of operation includes maize 62.5 acres, Cassava 52 acres, Okro 10 acres, Cowpea 10 acres, Chilli Paper 5 acres, Coconut 5 acres, 20 Cattle, 30 goats, 10 sheeps, 10 Turkeys, 20 Guinea Fowls, 20 doves and 175 local poultry The over 60 years experience farmer receiving his award, thanked the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
