24-Hour Market Project is set to commence in Ketu South.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ketu South Municipality Hon. Nicholas Worklatsi,  on Tuesday  officially handed over a 5-acre parcel of land at Glidzi in the  Klikor traditional area for the commencement of the proposed 24-hour market project in the municipality.


The project, which forms part of the ruling National Democratic Congress's campaign promises of President John Dramani Mahama, will be executed by El-de Grandeur Consult Limited led by Mr. Dzifa Kumordzie.



The project is expected to commence in two weeks time and is expected to be completed within 2 and half years. 


The modern market facility will have 32 lockable shops, 120 sheds, toilet facilities, the  Women’s Development Bank, Clinic/pharmacy, mini mart, gym, day care centre, restaurant, offices, technology hub, school, warehouses, public washrooms, meat shops/cold stores, as well as designated car and truck parks.



The 24-hour market project is expected to boost economic activities, improve access to modern trading infrastructure, create employment opportunities, and significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of Ketu South and its surrounding communities.



The brief ceremony was attended by some traditional and  political leadership.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
