Assembly Member distributes over 110 school uniforms to students.

The assembly member for Blekusu Electoral Area in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta region, has donated over 110 free school uniforms to two (2) basic schools within his Electoral Area. 


The donation formed part of his love for education and wish that every child feel belonged.



In a brief ceremony to present the uniforms to the schools, the Assembly member , Mr. Raphael Nukamewor, said "These uniforms will be distributed to students with either tattered uniforms or those who wore house dresses because they had no uniform."


Mr. Nukamewor stated that the distribution of the free school uniforms re-emphasizes his commitment  towards making education attractive and accessible to the vulnerable people in the society.



He therefore advised beneficiary pupils to study hard in order to justify the huge investment being made by their parent and the government in them.


"Most people think all needy students are from deprived communities but you see, I was also a needy student here in Blekusu, I studied hard to become who I am today. So I urge you all to study hard and step into my shoes,” Hon Nukamewor added.

Mr. Moses Nutekpor, the headmaster of Blekusu RC Basic school who received the items on behalf of the beneficiary schools commended the Assembly member for the gesture, promising that the learners will use the uniform for the needed purposes.


Madam Hannah Akpene Lokpo, the headmistress of Blekusu Mina Basic School also express her gratitude to the Assembly member. She used the opportunity to appeal to all well meaning citizens and NGOs to support the future and wellbeing of the future leaders.


The beneficiary schools of the free uniform distribution included Blekusu R.C Basic School and Blekusu Mina Basic School.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.
