Ketu South: I will bear full cost of printing BECE results - Torgbui Tenuvi II.

The youth and developmental Chief of the Aflao Traditional Council in the Ketu South Municipality, Mr. Felix Akonta Akakpo also known as Torgbui Tenuvi II has promised to bear a full cost for printing 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results for all graduates in the municipality.


4,845 candidates from both public and private schools will benefit from the initiative.



According to Torgbui Tenuvi II, the initiative is to eliminate the long-standing practice of parents and guardians paying for result checker fees.


He mentioned that the exercise will be carried out in coordination with the municipal education directorate within 24 hours of the release of the results.


"All 130 Basic Schools in the municipality will receive printed copies of their candidates. Graduates will then be able to collect their results directly from their respective schools at no cost" He stated.



"Having been born and raised in this system, I understand the financial burden some parents face in raising money for their children to check results and this experience motivated me" he explained.


The initiative is said to cost a cumulative amount of over Ghc 100,000.00



Parents, guardians and candidates expressed their gratitude to Torgbui Tenuvi II for his timely intervention in matters concerning education in the entire municipality.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
