Benjamin Agorsu Katsekpor Elected Ketu South NPP Chairman.

 Agorsu Katsekpor has been elected as the new Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu South Constituency following the party's constituency executive elections held on Saturday, July 11, at Three Town Senior High School.


Mr. Katsekpor secured a decisive victory, polling 1,387 votes to defeat the incumbent Chairman, Emmanuel Coffie Nyatsikah, who obtained 342 votes, while Obed Alaglo garnered 192 votes.


Addressing party delegates and supporters after the declaration of the results, the Chairman-elect expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.


"I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and trust you have placed in me. I assure every party member that I will work tirelessly to justify this confidence," he said.



Mr. Katsekpor pledged to unite all members of the party, regardless of their affiliations during the election, to build a stronger and more cohesive NPP in the constituency.


He stressed that unity would be the key to the party's success, adding that his administration would focus on strengthening grassroots structures and mobilising members towards recapturing political power in the 2028 general elections.

The constituency election, held at Three Town Senior High School, was conducted peacefully and attracted delegates from across the Ketu South Constituency.


Party supporters expressed optimism that the new leadership would foster unity and position the NPP to improve electoral performance in the years ahead.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
