Ewe Loyalty Foundation Donates 22 School Uniforms to Weta E.P. Basic School.

Weta, July 22,  –The Ewe Loyalty Foundation (ELF), a non-profit humanitarian organisation, has donated 22 school uniforms to needy pupils of Weta E.P. Basic School in the Ketu North Municipality as part of efforts to support education and improve school attendance.


The donation, which took place on Tuesday, July 21, was aimed at easing the burden on parents while encouraging beneficiaries to remain in school.



A delegation of the Foundation, led by its General Secretary, Mr. Eric Shine Ekow Setor, was received by the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Martin Kwawu.


The Assembly Member for the Weta Electoral Area, Hon. Enoch K. Amedegbe, welcomed the initiative and delegated the Unit Committee Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel, to represent him at the presentation.


Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Setor said the Foundation's vision was to build a compassionate, united and empowered Volta Region where vulnerable people have hope, dignity, equal opportunities and support.



He said the Foundation's mission was to serve humanity through sustainable charitable interventions by supporting schools, orphanages, hospitals and prisons with essential items while promoting volunteerism, unity and community development across the region.


Mr. Setor announced that the first phase of the Foundation's school uniform donation exercise would conclude at Shime in the Anloga District, with the second phase scheduled to begin in September in Hohoe, Ho, Weta R.C. and Kpando.


He appealed to individuals, corporate organisations and philanthropists to support the Foundation to enable it to expand its humanitarian activities to more communities across the Volta Region.



Receiving the uniforms on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Kwawu expressed appreciation to the Foundation for the timely intervention, describing it as a significant contribution towards improving the welfare of the learners.


He appealed to other organisations and benevolent individuals to emulate the Foundation by extending similar support to schools in need.


On behalf of parents and the Weta community, Hon. Amedegbe also commended the Foundation for its commitment to supporting vulnerable children and promoting education in the municipality.



Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Foundation, saying the donation would not only help them stay in school but also give them a sense of belonging and confidence among their peers.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
