Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie and the MCE donate Relief Items to Flood Victims in Gakli.

Residents of the Gakli community in the Ketu South Municipality who were affected by the recent heavy rains have received relief items from the Member of Parliament for Ketu South and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Nicholas Ezo Worklatsi.


The donation, made on Saturday, July 11, included five wheelbarrows, five shovels, five rakes, 15 pairs of Wellington boots, 33 bags of rice, and 13 cartons of cooking oil.


The items were officially received by the Assembly Member on behalf of the Gakli community.


Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie assured residents that the intervention marks the beginning of a wider relief exercise. She announced that other communities across the Ketu South Constituency affected by the recent flooding will also receive support in the coming weeks.


The MP expressed appreciation to the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama for his continuous support during challenging times. She recalled the assistance he provided during her first four years as Member of Parliament when tidal waves devastated coastal communities and when the Volta River Authority's spillage caused widespread flooding.


 She also acknowledged his support as communities confront the recent unprecedented floods affecting parts of the country.



The donation demonstrates the commitment of Hon. Gomashie and the Ketu South Municipal Assembly to supporting vulnerable communities and providing timely relief to residents impacted by the disaster.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
