Hon. King David Donates Computer to Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School, Announces Vision for Ultra-Modern ICT Laboratory in Akatsi North.

Philanthropist Hon. King David has donated a computer to Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School in the Akatsi North Municipality of the Volta Region as part of his commitment to promoting digital literacy and improving access to ICT education. He also announced his vision to establish an ultra-modern ICT laboratory in the Akatsi North Municipality to equip students with the necessary digital skills for the future.

Speaking during the school’s maiden Speech and Prize-Giving Day celebration, where he was invited to deliver a speech, Hon. King David said he has the school at heart and remains committed to supporting its development. He explained that his interest goes beyond Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School, as he is passionate about contributing to the overall development of the Akatsi North Municipality.

Hon. King David stated that his decision to support the school is driven by his belief that education remains the foundation for community and national development. He noted that investing in the education of young people is an investment in the future, and therefore, he will continue to identify areas where he can make a meaningful contribution.

According to him, the computer donation and his pledge to establish an ultra-modern ICT laboratory form part of his vision to promote ICT education and bring digital learning to the spotlight in Akatsi North. He said he wants to ensure that students in the municipality are not left behind in the rapidly changing technological world.

He explained that the proposed ICT laboratory, when completed, would serve as a major learning centre where students from Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School and other surrounding communities, districts, and municipalities could benefit from modern computer education and digital skills training.

Hon. King David stated that he is an ICT expert, and his concern about promoting ICT education is something very important because the world today is largely driven by technology. He explained that almost every aspect of life, including education, business, communication, and professional development, is now connected to ICT, making it necessary for young people to acquire digital skills at an early stage. He therefore emphasized the need to expose students to modern technology to prepare them for future opportunities.

He emphasized that ICT is no longer a luxury but an essential tool for learning, communication, and career development. He expressed his desire to help create opportunities for young people to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a technology-driven society.

Hon. King David further revealed that his support for Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School has been ongoing, mentioning that he has previously provided learning materials to assist teaching and learning. He added that he is currently supporting the school with good drinking water, explaining that the well-being of pupils and teachers is important for effective academic work.

He advised the students to take their education seriously and learn hard, reminding them that they are the future leaders of Ghana. He encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies, saying that future professionals, leaders, and personalities who will make a difference in the country can come from Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School.

Hon. King David urged the students not to underestimate their potential but to believe in themselves and work towards achieving their dreams. According to him, with determination, hard work, and the right support, they can become successful individuals who will contribute positively to society.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Fafaa 100.3 FM, Hon. King David assured the people of Akatsi North that the commitments he made during the celebration are genuine and will be fulfilled. He stated that the initiatives he mentioned, particularly the establishment of the ultra-modern ICT laboratory, are plans he is determined to implement and will soon become a reality.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and community development in Akatsi North, stressing that his interventions are aimed at creating lasting opportunities for the younger generation and contributing to the progress of the municipality.

Hon. King David also called on other individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to join hands in supporting educational development in the Akatsi North Municipality. He noted that the responsibility of improving education should not be left to government alone, but requires the collective efforts of community members, private individuals, and institutions to provide the needed support for schools and students.

He expressed optimism that with continuous investment in education, technology, and youth development, Atsata-Bame D.A. Basic School and other schools within the municipality can produce students who will compete successfully at both national and international levels. He reiterated his commitment to using his knowledge, resources, and experience to contribute to initiatives that will create better opportunities for the younger generation.
