Hon. Wilfred Kwabla Dakunya Wins Ketu South NPP Deputy Secretary Race.

Hon. Wilfred Kwabla Dakunya, the Assembly Member for Akame Electoral Area, has been elected Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu South Constituency after a decisive victory in the party's constituency executive elections.


The election, held on Saturday, July 11, at Three Town Senior High School, attracted delegates from across the constituency. Hon. Dakunya polled 1,074 votes to defeat his opponents, Sylvester Sitsofe Kutu, who secured 584 votes, and Eric Adjei, who obtained 242 votes.

In his victory speech, Hon. Dakunya thanked the delegates for their overwhelming support and confidence in his leadership. He pledged to serve with humility, dedication, and integrity, while working closely with the constituency executives and party members to strengthen the NPP in Ketu South.


He also called for unity among all party members, urging supporters of every candidate to put the election behind them and work together towards the party's shared goals and future electoral success.



The constituency executive elections form part of the NPP's internal democratic process to elect leaders who will guide the affairs of the party at the constituency level.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
