Ketu South, Ghana – The Ketu South Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Joseph Lanson K. A. Kukpawu, popularly known as Agbolanson, has announced his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ketu South Constituency.


Mr. Kukpawu said his decision to seek the position is driven by his commitment to strengthening the party's communication machinery, fostering unity among members, and enhancing grassroots engagement across the constituency.


According to him, effective communication, unity and dedicated leadership remain the pillars of a strong political party. He noted that, if elected, he would work closely with the constituency communications team, branch executives and party members to ensure the NDC's message is communicated clearly and consistently while promoting collaboration at all levels.


He pledged to create a platform that encourages active participation by party members, listens to their concerns and ensures their views are reflected in the party's communication strategy.


Mr. Kukpawu further stated that he would work diligently to project a positive image of the NDC, strengthen the party's structures and support mobilisation efforts aimed at maintaining the party's dominance in the constituency and securing future electoral victories.


Appealing for the support of delegates, he called on members of the party to entrust him with the mandate to serve as Deputy Communications Officer, assuring them of accountable leadership, effective communication and unwavering dedication to the growth and unity of the NDC in Ketu South.


"I am committed to serving with dedication, accountability and honesty. Together, we can build a stronger, more united Ketu South and position our party for greater success," Mr. Kukpawu said.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
