Ketu South NPP Elects New Constituency Executives.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu South Constituency has successfully elected a new crop of constituency executives during its constituency elections held on Saturday, July 11, at Three Town Senior High School.


The keenly contested election attracted delegates from across the constituency, who turned out in large numbers to elect leaders expected to steer the affairs of the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.


The biggest contest was for the position of Constituency Chairman, where Benjamin Agorsu Katsekpor secured a landslide victory with 1,387 votes, defeating the incumbent Emmanuel Coffie Nyatsikah, who polled 342 votes, and Obed Alaglo, who obtained 192 votes. There were 24 rejected ballots.


In the First Vice Chairman race, Silas K. Tuamu emerged victorious with 1,113 votes, beating Fidelia Awakoe (446) and Dennis Gator (341), with 32 rejected ballots.



For the Second Vice Chairman position, Pius K. Agbemashor won with 796 votes, ahead of Frank Sonny Widah (459), Nash R. Torkor (337), and Edwin Avonyo (318). A total of 37 ballots were rejected.


Sacho Darlington Akussah was elected Constituency Secretary unopposed.


In the Assistant Secretary election, Hon. Wilfred Kwabla Dakunya, Assembly Member for the Akame Electoral Area, secured victory with 1,074 votes, defeating Sylvester Sitsofe Kutu (584) and Eric Adjei (242). There were 30 rejected ballots.


The Organiser position was won by Alex Vanderpuye, who polled 626 votes, narrowly defeating Philip Sotsivia (591). Joseph K. Azalekor received 382 votes, while Kpodo Michael obtained 311 votes. Twenty-eight ballots were rejected.


In the Youth Organiser race, Joseph Tsikata emerged winner with 921 votes, ahead of Hammond L. Dotsey (496), Nicholas Kondo (289), and John Dotsey Mifatu (208). Twenty-nine ballots were rejected.



For the Communication Officer position, Godwin Blewuda won with 962 votes, defeating Abraham Futukpor (648) and David Hiatepe (307). Twenty-six ballots were rejected.


The Women's Organiser position went to Salamatu Ibrahim, who secured 1,324 votes, defeating Juliana Kpodo, who polled 601 votes. There were 11 rejected ballots.

In the Nasara Coordinator election, Tahiru Abubakah was elected with 1,045 votes, while Miheso Wonder obtained 865 votes. Thirty-three ballots were rejected.



For the Treasurer position, Promise Tsikpo emerged victorious with 925 votes, defeating Jacob Daletey (344), Dokyi Paul (344), and Paul Agbodo (296). There were 32 rejected ballots.


The newly elected executives are expected to unite the party, strengthen its structures, and lead the NPP's efforts to reclaim political power in the Ketu South Constituency and contribute to the party's quest to win the 2028 general elections.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
