Kpeyiborkorpe Community to Receive New KG Block and Ancillary Facilities.

The Kpeyiborkorpe community in the Ketu North Constituency is set to witness a major boost in educational infrastructure as a newly completed Kindergarten (KG) block and ancillary facilities will be officially handed over on Friday, July 17, 2026.


The handing-over ceremony, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the Kpeyiborkorpe School Compound, is being organized by Pencils of Promise in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana.

The event is expected to be attended by the Country Director of Pencils of Promise, Mr. Freeman Gobah, alongside Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, traditional leaders, education stakeholders, community members, and other invited guests.


The completed KG block and its accompanying facilities are aimed at providing a safe, modern, and child-friendly learning environment for pupils in the community. The project forms part of ongoing efforts to improve access to quality basic education and enhance teaching and learning in underserved communities.


Residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the new facility will help improve early childhood education in Kpeyiborkorpe and create a more conducive atmosphere for young learners.


The ceremony will officially mark the transfer of the facility to the community, reinforcing the commitment of Pencils of Promise and Hon. Eric Edem Agbana to advancing educational development in the Ketu North Constituency.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
