Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to bid a final farewell to Mr. Gabriel Yao Sepenu, popularly known as Getor, as he was laid to rest in a solemn burial ceremony. The occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes, reflections, and memories from those who knew and cherished him.


The burial ceremony took place on Saturday, 1st August 2026, at the forecourt of the Bethany Baptist Church at Kpohega, where members of the Sepenu and Hutor families, together with other affiliated families and sympathisers, gathered to pay their final respects to their beloved son, father, uncle, and family member.


The Sepenu and Hutor families, alongside their extended families, mourned with heavy hearts as they laid to rest a cherished member of the family. The atmosphere was filled with deep emotions as relatives, friends, and loved ones gathered to honour the life and legacy of Mr. Gabriel Yao Sepenu.


Mr. Gabriel Yao Sepenu, who passed away at the age of 79, left behind his two biological sons, Hutor Kwasi Nyatepe and Sromawuda Hutor, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and many loved ones who will continue to cherish his memory and the impact he made in their lives.



The funeral ceremony was organised with the support and leadership of the A.R.S Church, Kpohega Branch, where the late Gabriel Yao Sepenu worshipped during his lifetime. The church played an important role in ensuring that the funeral proceedings were conducted in a respectful and befitting manner to honour their departed member.


The ceremony attracted a large gathering of mourners, including traditional rulers, community leaders, church members, friends, and other relevant stakeholders who came to support the bereaved family and honour the memory of the late Gabriel Yao Sepenu.


His nephews and nieces presented a touching tribute in recognition of the significant role he played in their lives. They expressed their gratitude for his guidance, care, sacrifices, and the positive influence he had on them throughout the years.


His grandchildren also paid a beautiful tribute, reflecting the strong bond they shared with him and the lasting impact he had on their lives. Their words demonstrated the love and respect they held for their grandfather as they bid him a final farewell.



Members of his church, friends, and loved ones described him as a man who played a vital role in his family, church, and community. They remembered him for his kindness, dedication, support, and the valuable contributions he made to the lives of many people.


As the family laid him to rest, the ceremony became not only a moment of sorrow but also a celebration of a life well lived. The memories, teachings, and values of Mr. Gabriel Yao Sepenu, also known as Getor, will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and all those whose lives he positively touched.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
