Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie Supports Two Sports Initiatives with GH¢22,500.

The Member of Parliament for Ketu South and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has reaffirmed her commitment to youth development and sports promotion in the Ketu South Municipality with a financial contribution of GH¢22,500.00 towards two sporting initiatives.


The support follows separate appeals from the Ghana Education Service, Ketu South Municipal Education Directorate, and the Ketu South Municipal Football Association.


The Ketu South Municipal Education Directorate received GH¢10,000.00 to support its participation in the 2026 Inter-District Sports Festival, while the Ketu South Municipal Football Association received GH¢12,500.00 towards its participation in the District U-17 Football Tournament.


The interventions are aimed at helping young athletes participate effectively in competitive sporting activities while creating opportunities for them to develop their talents and pursue their sporting ambitions.


Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie’s latest gesture forms part of her broader commitment to empowering young people in Ketu South and supporting initiatives that contribute to their personal development, discipline and future prospects.


Her continued support for sports is expected to further motivate young athletes and stakeholders in the municipality to pursue excellence and make meaningful contributions to the development of sports in the area.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
