New Generation Stars Academy Set to be Officially Launch.

Residents of Akame and the surrounding communities in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region are set to witness the official launching of New Generation Stars Academy on Sunday, 9th August, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the school's premises behind the Global Evangelical Church, Akame.


The event marks a significant milestone in the academy's commitment to providing quality education and nurturing future leaders through academic excellence and character development. The school's motto, "Building Minds, Nurturing Hearts, Empowering Future Leaders," reflects its vision of developing well-rounded learners.


The launch will feature Professor Dzakadzie, Former Director-General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), as the Guest Speaker. He is expected to share insights on the importance of quality education and the role of schools in shaping Ghana's future.



Several distinguished personalities are expected to grace the occasion, including Assembly Members, Unit Committee Members, Traditional Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, and officials from the Ghana Education Directorate. Their presence is expected to underscore the importance of community support in promoting quality education in the municipality.


Management of New Generation Stars Academy has extended a warm invitation to parents, stakeholders in education, community members, and the general public to attend the event and join in celebrating the official inauguration of the school.


The launch is expected to provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about the academy's educational vision and its commitment to delivering quality teaching and learning in Akame and beyond

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
