Xornam Alayi- Hussey declares intention to contest Constituency Women’s Organizer.

Xornam Alayi-Hussey has announced her intention to contest for the position of  the Ketu South Constituency Women’s Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), with a bold vision to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, empower women, and consolidate the party’s structures towards victory in the 2028 general elections.


Her campaign is anchored on the message: “ONE WING, ONE VOICE, ONE VICTORY” — a call for unity, collective action, Resetting and change for continuous growth, development and a stronger Women’s Wing capable of driving the next phase of the NDC’s political success.


Following extensive consultations with party elders, women leaders, grassroots organisers, youth activists, and stakeholders across the constituency, the current Constituency's  Deputy Women Organizer said the time has come for a renewed and more strategic approach to women mobilisation within the party.


According to her, women remain the backbone of every successful political movement and must be empowered, organised, and positioned at the centre of the NDC’s electoral strategy.


“In my commitment to serve the party and contribute meaningfully towards the NDC’s victory agenda in 2028, I have taken the decision to contest for the position of Ketu South Constituency Women’s Organiser after broad consultations with party stakeholders across the constituency” she stated.


She emphasised that her vision goes beyond political campaigning and focuses on building a stronger, more connected, and results-oriented Women’s Wing that actively engages women at every level of the party structure.


She explained that her leadership will prioritise stronger grassroots coordination, women empowerment, political education, electoral preparedness, and effective mobilisation that translates into victory at the polls.


“My focus is to work closely with elected executives, branch organisers, branch executives, and women across the constituency to strengthen our structures and build a united front capable of delivering victory for the NDC,” she noted.


She further stressed the need to restore greater voice, visibility, and participation for women within the party, adding that sustainable political victory can only be achieved when women at the grassroots are fully involved, empowered, and resourced.


According to her, mobilisation must not only be visible during campaigns but must become a continuous process of organisation, training, and engagement.


“Real mobilisation is not just about numbers; it is about building a disciplined, informed, and motivated grassroots base that understands the electoral process and is prepared to protect the victory of the party,” she stressed.


As part of her broader vision, Xornam Alayi-Hussey also pledged to deepen collaboration with the party’s Regional and National Directorate and supporters to strengthen branch and constituency mobilisation, political engagement, and electoral coordination.


She also noted her Agenda includes Youth Empowerment and development, Children and Aged intervention, Social development, Community development and Social intervention, inclusivity stressing her core mandate to be women development

Describing herself as respectful, hardworking, diligent, firm, hopeful, and results-oriented, she reaffirmed her commitment to serving the party with humility, discipline, and dedication guided by the values of: Service, Unity, Action and Victory.


She concluded by calling on members of the Women’s Wing and the NDC members to rally behind a shared vision of unity, empowerment, and collective success.


“The future victory of our party will be built by the collective strength, sacrifice, and commitment of ordinary women at the grassroots. Together, with one wing, one voice, and one purpose, we will organise, mobilise, and win for the National Democratic Congress.”


The NDC is currently preparing for its nationwide internal reorganization and elections. The process will begin at the grassroots with branch elections and will culminate in the national executive elections at the National Congress scheduled for December 19, 2026.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
