15-Year-Old Grace Elorm Atisu Emerges Best 2026 BECE Graduate in Ketu South.

Fifteen-year-old Grace Elorm Atisu has emerged as the overall best-performing 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduate in the Ketu South Municipality, recording an impressive Aggregate 9 among 4,845 graduates in the municipality.
Elorm, a former student of Footprint International School at Laklivikope, earned the distinction after excelling in the 2026 BECE.
She was speaking to the media during a ceremony organised to support the best 300 BECE graduates in the Ketu South Municipality, an initiative single-handedly sponsored by the Akonta Foundation, led by Mr. Felix Akonta Akakpo, popularly known as Torgbui Tenuvi II, Youth and Developmental Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area.
Expressing her gratitude for the achievement, Elorm said she was thankful to God for giving her the opportunity to emerge as the best graduate in the entire municipality.
She also acknowledged the contributions of her parents and teachers, saying their guidance, support and dedication played a significant role in her success.
Explaining how she achieved the outstanding result, Elorm said she paid close attention to everything her teachers taught in class.
She recounted an experience during a Science lesson when a discussion arose that was not directly related to the topic being taught that day. Although it was outside the main lesson, she paid attention to the discussion.
According to her, the same issue appeared in the BECE examination, enabling her to answer the question successfully because she had listened carefully when her teacher discussed it.
Elorm therefore advised students to take their lessons seriously and avoid using instructional periods to play.
“Students should focus in class and should not use lesson time to play,” she advised.
She expressed appreciation to Torgbui Tenuvi II for supporting the 300 best BECE graduates and promised to make good use of the opportunity.
Elorm, who has gained admission to Achimota Senior High School, pledged to work even harder at the Senior High School level.
She assured Torgbui Tenuvi II that she would not disappoint him and promised to improve on her performance.
Elorm's father, Mr. Kofi Atisu, expressed pride in his daughter, describing her emergence as the best BECE graduate in the entire municipality as a remarkable achievement.
He said Elorm was a humble child who listens to her parents and takes her responsibilities seriously.
According to him, whenever Elorm is given an assignment by her school, she makes completing the assignment a priority before attending to other requests.

He encouraged children to listen to their parents and teachers, saying such discipline and commitment could help them achieve academic success.
Mr. Atisu also called on parents to provide proper discipline and guidance for their children, stressing the importance of correcting children when necessary.
He expressed his profound gratitude to Torgbui Tenuvi II and the Akonta Foundation for the support, saying the intervention had taken a significant financial burden off parents as their children prepare to continue their education at the Senior High School level.
The achievement of Grace Elorm Atisu has further highlighted the importance of discipline, attentive learning, parental support and dedicated teaching in improving educational outcomes among young people in the Ketu South Municipality.
