Ferguson Ahorlu Officially Picks Nomination Form to Contest NDC Ketu South Chairmanship.

Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, the incumbent NDC Constituency Organizer and Municipal Director for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in Ketu South, has officially picked up his nomination forms to contest the Ketu South Constituency Chairmanship of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).


Running under the campaign slogan "RESET. YES WE CAN!" and the Ewe slogan "Wodorwornawo; Adzeyowome!", Mr. Ahorlu outlined a comprehensive policy agenda focused on structural reform, grassroots empowerment, and accountable leadership to consolidate the constituency’s standing as the party's "World Bank."


Key Policy Highlights & Vision:

 Grassroots Empowerment & Welfare:

Decentralizing party welfare to the ward level, hosting empowerment seminars, and offering direct support to branch executives, with a specific focus on the youth and women’s wings.


Structural Collaboration & Discipline:

Fostering effective synergy among the Communications Team, Youth & Women Wings, Organization Department, Zongo Unit, and Election Directorate, while strictly adhering to party hierarchy.


 Party Infrastructure & Resources:

Facilitating the construction of a modern party office, ensuring transparent contract management, and lobbying for additional opportunities across all zones.

 Inclusivity & Governance:

Creating co-option slots for ward and branch representatives, maintaining regular engagement with party cadres and elders, and assisting local constituents with registration for national IDs (Ghana Card) to prevent disenfranchisement.


Mr. Ahorlu emphasized his commitment to independent, accountable leadership aimed at uniting former and current executives to drive sustainable community development across the constituency.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster. Presenting the items on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklatsi, at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Ferguson Ahorlu, noted that the value of the destroyed farms far exceeded the relief package provided.
