Simon Dogbey Picks Form to Contest Other Youth Representative Position in Ketu South.

Mr. Simon Dogbey, popularly known as Abobby, has officially picked his nomination form and filed to contest the Other Youth Representative position in the upcoming Ketu South Constituency elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).


Mr. Dogbey, a member of the Community Centre–Adzrorvitame Branch, said his decision followed broad consultations with party elders, youth, branch executives and other stakeholders across the constituency.


He explained that his decision to contest was motivated by his desire to bring his experience, energy and commitment to the service of the party, particularly in strengthening the youth front and contributing to the NDC's preparations towards the 2028 general elections.


In his declaration of intent, Mr. Dogbey said the youth front remained an important platform through which he could contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the party.


"Together with my bosses, we shall reset the youth wing for victory 2028 and beyond,” he stated.


Mr. Dogbey brings several years of grassroots and party organisational experience to the contest, having served in various leadership capacities at the branch, zone and constituency levels.


At the branch level, he has served as Acting Youth Organiser for three years, Youth Organiser for 12 years, and Branch Chairman for four years and two months.


At the zonal level, he served as Deputy Youth Organiser for four years and subsequently as Deputy Organiser for another four years.


At the constituency level, Mr. Dogbey has been a member of the Youth Working Committee since 2018.


He has also served in various youth leadership roles within the constituency, including Acting Youth Organiser of Logove JHS, Youth Organiser of Logove JHS, Youth Organiser of Logove B following the division of the branch, and Youth Organiser of T.B. Hatokope, now known as the Community Centre–Adzrorvitame Branch and also served as Logove Electoral Area Alpha (TAP) Coordinator.


He currently serves as Chairman of the Community Centre–Adzrorvitame Branch.


With this experience, Mr. Dogbey said he was prepared to work with other party leaders, executives and the youth to build a more organised and active youth front capable of supporting the party's objectives.


He appealed to party faithful, delegates, supporters and well-wishers to support his candidature through their prayers, votes and encouragement as the constituency prepares for the internal elections.


Mr. Dogbey's filing adds to the growing number of aspirants seeking various executive positions in the Ketu South NDC Constituency as the party prepares for its internal elections.

89-year-old Fetish Priest crowned the overall Best farmer for 2025 in Ketu South.

  Torgbui Nuwordu, a fetish priest from Klikor has been crowned the overall best farmer in the Ketu municipal at the  41st National Best Farmers day held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Agbozume Logove A M.E Zion School park.  He took home a tricycle, 10 cutlasses, 2 pairs of wellington boots, 4 bottles of herbicides, 4 bottles of insecticides, 1 spraying machine, 1 50kg bag of NPK, 1 50kg bag of Urea and a flat screen TV. Torgbui Nuwordu beat 8 other contestants. Government Provides Relief Support to Flood-Affected Irrigation Farmers in Ketu South.

The Government of Ghana has extended relief assistance to 15 irrigation farmers in the Ketu South Municipality whose farms were severely affected by recent devastating floods that impacted several parts of the country. The beneficiaries received assorted relief items, including fertilizers, mattresses, bags of rice, and cooking oil, to help mitigate the impact of the disaster.
