This year’s celebration was held under the theme: “Harnessing the potential of youth for socio-cultural preservation, Economic prosperity and tourism development to foster peace and unity.”

Addressing the gathering, Hon. James Gunu reaffirmed the government's commitment to tackling key infrastructure and development needs within the area.

He announced that the Some water system will officially be handed over to the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) to address local supply challenges and ensure a reliable flow of safe drinking water.

He further assured residents that critical road networks in the traditional area are actively receiving attention.

Demonstrating direct support for local development, the Regional Minister donated 100 bags of cement toward the construction of the Some Traditional Council building project.

Additionally, in a joint gesture with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, a cash donation of GHS 30,000 was presented to support community initiatives.

Hon. Gunu expressed deep appreciation to Torgbiga Adama III, the traditional leadership, and the people of Some for their warm hospitality, reiterating that progress in the region relies on shared effort: "Together, we build a better Volta."

The festival brought together community members, traditional leaders, and political dignitaries to highlight the vital role of the youth in preserving cultural heritage while driving economic growth and tourism in the region.
