Dr. Stanley Nelvis Glate has successfully completed the vetting process and been cleared to contest the Volta Regional Secretary position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), drawing Number 2 on the ballot ahead of the party’s upcoming regional elections.

Following his successful vetting, Dr. Glate expressed excitement about the development, describing it as the beginning of a new chapter for the NDC in the Volta Region.

In a statement, he said his candidacy represents a commitment to strengthening the party’s administrative structures, improving grassroots mobilisation, and building a more effective regional secretariat.

“Number two symbolizes a double portion of victory, unity, and strategic partnership,” he stated, adding that the number represents the alignment between the regional secretariat and the party’s grassroots structures.

Dr. Glate noted that the Volta Region has historically played a significant role in the electoral fortunes of the NDC, stressing the need to revitalise the party’s base through efficient administration, digital mobilisation, and unwavering support for constituency executives.

According to him, his campaign is focused on bringing a fresh perspective to the regional secretariat by transforming it into a proactive and well-coordinated administrative centre capable of supporting the party’s electoral ambitions.

He further emphasised that a strong regional secretariat, backed by effective organisation and collaboration with constituency executives, would be crucial to securing victory for the NDC in the next general elections.

Addressing delegates and supporters across the Volta Region, Dr. Glate called for unity and collective commitment as the party prepares for the regional elections.

He declared his readiness to serve the party with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to organisational development.

“The journey to reclaim our ultimate political glory starts now. I am ready to serve, ready to organise, and ready to lead the secretariat with integrity and absolute commitment,” he said.

Dr. Glate is urging delegates to support his candidature, describing his bid as an opportunity to promote competence, strengthen party structures, and usher in what he calls a new dawn for the NDC in the Volta Region.

He concluded with a rallying call to delegates to vote for Number 2, expressing optimism about the future of the party and its prospects in the region.

“Vote for competence, vote for a new dawn, vote Number 2,” he urged.

The NDC Volta Regional Secretary position is considered important to the party’s organisational machinery, with the successful candidate expected to play a key role in coordinating regional activities, supporting constituency executives, and strengthening mobilisation ahead of future elections.
